A Solar Drive for water pumps is an electrical converter that transforms the variable direct current (DC) produced by a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel into alternating current (AC), suitable for powering a local electric water pump motor. Essentially, these drives function as solar-powered Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), supplying energy to AC motors through standard PV panels. They also retain the option for an AC input supply when necessary. Furthermore, the output frequency of the Solar Drive can be adjusted in real-time based on flow requirements and sunlight intensity.
